The National Crafts Gallery, an annex of the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, will be relocated to Kanazawa, and open as the National Crafts Museum on October 25, 2020.
The building of the National Crafts Museum was originally the former headquarters building of the 9th Division of the Army and Kanazawa Kaikosha (officer’s club), located in front of the Prefectural Noh Theater, which were dismantled and relocated to the new building.
The former Crafts Gallery an annex of the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo was also originally an Army facility which was a brick building.

By Kanazawa Loop Bus: Get off at “Hirosaka, 21st Century Museum” and walk 7 minutes.
By Hokuriku Tetsudou local bus: Get off at “Dewamachi” and walk 5 minutes.
From Kenrokuen garden: 3 minutes walk from Zuishinzaka exit (in front of Kanazawa shrine) – RECMMEND
