Kanazawa Asanogawa Enyukai Hall, located near the Higashi chaya district, is a facility that conveys the teahouse culture that has been handed down in Kanazawa since the Edo period. It introduces visitors to the culture of teahouses and geiko through photographs and dioramas.
This spring, during the cherry blossom season, an event will be hosted on the second floor of this hall where visitors can see real Kanazawa geigi – geisha are referred to as “geigi” or “geiko-san” in Kanazawa – perform and dance. The capacity of each performance is 20 people.
