Highlights of Kenrokuen Garden
Kenrokuen Garden is a typical stroll-around-ponds style garden with 8,200 trees, traditional stone lanterns, and old-fashioned bridges scattered throughout the vast park.
In November, trees in Kenrokuen hold their branches with ropes to protect them from the heavy snowfall of this region. The trees including the famous “Karasaki” pine trees are lit up and their reflection on Kasumigaike Pond is breathtaking.
From mid to late November, the autumn leaves of Kenrokuen are at their best, and the illuminated garden shines in golden colors.
Events
There will be mini-concerts or background music broadcast by the pond. The music lineup includes traditional Japanese music, jazz, and classical music.
